How Our Pricing Works
Every patient’s condition is different, and so is every treatment plan. At St. George Hospital, costs depend on your specific diagnosis, the duration of your stay, and the protocols recommended by our medical team.
We work with treatment packages, and we always adapt them to the individual patient. After your inquiry and the review of your case, you receive a non-binding cost estimate. After your initial consultation — which can be conducted remotely via video call — our medical team designs a preliminary treatment plan tailored to your condition. A detailed cost estimate is provided before you make any travel commitment.
This estimate includes all medical treatments, diagnostics, consultations, and inpatient accommodation. There are no hidden fees. If your treatment plan evolves during your stay based on diagnostic findings, any changes are discussed with you and approved before proceeding.

How to read your estimate
After our physicians have reviewed your findings and the video consultation has taken place, you receive a written estimate. It is itemised so that you can see what each part of the stay costs:
- Daily inpatient rate — room, nursing, physician rounds, meals and standard monitoring, multiplied by the planned number of days.
- Diagnostics — the laboratory panels, imaging and functional tests planned for your first days, listed individually.
- Therapy blocks — each therapy with its planned number of sessions (for example whole-body hyperthermia, apheresis, infusions), so you can see what drives the total.
- Not included — travel and transfers, accommodation for a companion, and medication after discharge. If findings during the stay change the plan, we discuss and agree the change with you before proceeding.

Self-pay, with documentation for your insurer
Treatment at St. George Hospital is self-pay. You receive an itemised invoice with diagnosis codes and procedure descriptions in English, which you can submit to your US health plan for out-of-network review. Whether and how much a plan reimburses is the plan’s decision; we cannot promise reimbursement. Funds from an HSA or FSA may apply to medical treatment abroad — check with your plan administrator. Payment is by bank transfer (international wire) or major credit card.

Insurance & Payment
We work with patients to make treatment financially accessible and provide all documentation needed for insurance reimbursement claims.
Private Insurance
German and international private health insurance may cover part or all of your treatment. We provide detailed medical documentation and itemized invoices to support your reimbursement claim.
German Statutory Insurance (GKV)
German statutory health insurance does not typically cover integrative and biological medicine treatments. Patients with GKV coverage are treated on a self-pay basis.
International Patients
Most international patients are self-pay with the option to seek reimbursement from their home insurance provider. We provide all necessary documentation in English and German.
Payment Methods
