Julian Douwes M.D.

Julian Douwes M.D. leads St. George Hospital as Chief Medical Officer, driving the development of all new treatment approaches and continuing the legacy of his late father, Friedrich Douwes M.D. (1945–2022). He brings expertise in functional medicine, chronic disease, rare diseases, longevity, and neuromodulation.

As the architect of the clinic’s modern treatment protocols, Julian Douwes M.D. combines deep clinical expertise with a commitment to advancing integrative medicine. Under his leadership, St. George Hospital continues to evolve, integrating cutting-edge diagnostics, neuromodulation techniques, and longevity medicine into its comprehensive approach.

Martin Rößner M.D. serves as Chief Physician at St. George Hospital, leading the hospital’s daily clinical operations alongside Julian Douwes M.D. He specializes in internal medicine, oncology, chronic disease, and longevity medicine.

With extensive experience in integrative cancer care, Martin Rößner M.D. leads the hospital’s oncology and chronic disease treatment programs, ensuring that every patient receives a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan. His expertise in internal medicine provides a strong clinical foundation for the hospital’s multidisciplinary approach.

Friedrich Douwes M.D.

Friedrich Douwes M.D. founded St. George Hospital in 1991 with a pioneering vision for integrative medicine. Internationally recognized as one of Europe’s leading experts in integrative oncology and Lyme disease treatment, his legacy continues to guide the hospital’s mission and values.

Friedrich Douwes M.D. was among the first physicians in Germany to introduce hyperthermia as a cancer therapy, and he was instrumental in developing multimodal treatment protocols that combine conventional and biological approaches. His work was published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals, and he lectured at medical conferences worldwide.

Under his leadership, St. George Hospital treated patients from more than 60 countries and became a reference center for complex chronic diseases. His vision and values live on in every aspect of the hospital’s work today.
